Families

UPDATE ON TREK FAMILIES:   The deadline for Trek registration has been set for July 1st.  This will give us time to restructure trek families.  Please be flexible, patient and considerate while we organize families.


There are a lot of reasons for organizing our ward into trek families.  Obviously we need enough members to be able to pull the carts as we trek, but it's so much more important.  As we participate in the hastening of the work we are encouraged to reach out to our neighbors and those around us that we may not know.  The trek experience is an easy missionary opportunity, particularly for your trek family.  Please take the time to get to know the families in your trek family and invite them to participate with you in trek activities.  Invite them into your home for family home evenings and offer rides and encouragement for the other ward activities that we will have.

Your family includes people that will not be going on trek, but we still want them to participate with us and have their own trek experience through the activities and preparation that we will be doing in the coming months.

You are encouraged to have family home evening each month with your trek family.  This can be as simple or elaborate as you'd like to make it and sample lesson plans can be found on this website.
